The Sound of a Rushing, Mighty Wind!

Recently while in prayer, I heard a sound like that of a rushing, mighty wind and I saw flashes of bright light coming down from heaven and hitting churches. I believe we are going to move into a time unlike what the church has ever experienced before in history. God is looking for those who are seeking Him in faith and who are being a faithful people to whom He can pour out His double anointing. "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him" (2 Chron. 16:9). God will pour, fill and overflow His living, strong waters into readied hearts from His fountain of life. He is going to establish His authority and glory in and through His people and they will do the promised greater works! "...He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do..." (John 14:12).

As we behold (observe, watch, see, consider) Him in our prayer closets and in our gatherings, He will reveal Himself and what He is about to do! "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any hear My voice and open the door, I shall come in and sup (commune) with him and He with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I overcame, and am sat down with my Father in His throne. After this I looked and behold a door was opened in heaven and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hearafter. And immediately I was in the spirit and behold, a throne was set in heaven and One sat on the throne..." (Rev. 3:20-22; 4:1-2).  John was a servant of His presence and he went on to receive many revelations and wrote the book of Revelation.

Searching the Lord out is like searching for hidden treasures, but Jesus tells us to whom He will reveal Himself:

o   "...shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do" (Gen.18:17)?

o  God is looking for those disciples who are serious about following Him (Matt.10:13-16, 35-36; Mark 4:34).

o   Mary sat at Jesus feet and heard (spiritual receptivity) His Word" (Luke 10:39).

o   "The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him" (Ps.25:14).

o   "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings is to search out a matter" (Prov. 25:2).

o   "The secret things belong unto the Lord, but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever that we may do all the works of this law" (Deut.29:29).

o   "He revealeth the deep and secret things. He knoweth what is in the darkness and the light dwelleth with Him" (Dan.2:22).

o   "...for all things I have heard of my Father, I made known unto you" (John 15:15b).

o   "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God" (1 Cor.2:9-10).

o   "Having made known the mystery of His will..." (Eph.1:9).

o   "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house and prove (test) Me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows (threshold) of heaven (abode of God) and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it" (Mal.3:10).

o   "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7).

o   "...that you might be filled with all the fullness of God..." (Eph.3:16-21).

o   "He that hath My commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me, and he that loveth me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him" (John 14:21).

o   "...if any man hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to Him and will sup (commune) with him and he with Me" (Rev.3:20).

o   God calls us to oneness in Him. "That they all may be one..."; "...that they may behold My glory which thou hast given Me..." (John 17:21, 24).  His church is becoming one church; Jesus is coming again for His bride (singular!).

In these scriptures are many promises to receive His revelation, but they are conditional upon our response of obedience to His commands, as we trust in His grace, such as: be a disciple not just a follower of Jesus, give your tithes into the storehouse, love God and love others, fear God, sit at His feet, love that you might be filled with all the fullness of God, keep His commandments and He will manifest Himself, hear His voice and open the door, to him that overcomes..., and have unity with God and others.

His church (those who are one with Father and with each other), will arise in the power and in the Spirit of Elijah! We will arise as a company of people, a people in one spirit, His Spirit! God's cry will come forth from His people in a powerful prayer that will call down His presence, because we will have ears to hear and eyes to see what the Spirit would say to the church. "But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear" (Matthew 13:15, 16). Jesus presented the truth on a take-it-or-leave-it basis: "He who has ears to ..."! Are we about to soon experience the same thing the early church did on the day of Pentecost? Will He appear as a rushing, mighty wind in our midst bringing in the "new" day of the Lord as we seek Him together in one accord?
